It looks like Philadelphia 76ers guard Ben Simmons won't be suiting up for the Boomers at the Tokyo Olympics.
According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, Simmons is "doubtful to play" for Australia at the upcoming Olympics and will "spend the offseason working on skill development."
The Boomers are scheduled to begin training for the Olympics this week, Windhorst adds.

Philadelphia's season came to an end with a Game 7 loss to the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Simmons struggled in the final three games of the series, averaging 6.3 points, 9.0 assists and 7.0 rebounds on 42.9 percent shooting from the field.
Simmons shouldered a lot of the blame for Philadelphia coming up short against Atlanta.
"I ain't shoot well from the line this series," Simmons said following Game 7. "Offensively, I wasn't there. I didn't do enough for my teammates. ... There's a lot of things that I need to work on."
Simmons was a part of the Boomers' 19-man training camp roster that was announced last week. Other NBA players on the roster include Matisse Thybulle, Joe Ingles and Patty Mills. The Boomers are expected to name their final 12-man roster for the Tokyo Olympics in early July.
Ahead of the Olympics, the Boomers will play exhibition games against the United States, Nigeria and Argentina in Las Vegas.
The Olympic Games start for the Boomers on July 25.
