Raptors vs. 76ers score, highlights: Joel Embiid's clutch 3-pointer gives Philadelphia Game 3 win, 3-0 series lead image

With the clock running down and nowhere to turn, the 76ers gave the ball to their MVP candidate — and he delivered.

Joel Embiid made a 3-pointer from the left wing with 0.8 seconds left in overtime to lift Philadelphia to a 104-101 win on Wednesday night. The five-time All-Star scored 33 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in Game 3, guiding the 76ers to a 3-0 series lead.

Raptors forward OG Anunoby scored a team-high 26 points in the loss. Gary Trent Jr. bounced back with 24 points after subpar performances in Games 1 and 2, and Precious Achiuwa contributed 20 points in 36 minutes off the bench.

The 76ers will attempt to close out the series on Saturday afternoon at Scotiabank Arena.

Raptors vs. 76ers Game 3: Live score, updates and highlights

(All times Eastern)

Final: 76ers 104, Raptors 101

10:50 p.m. — The Raptors don't get a shot off before the buzzer. The 76ers take 3-0 series lead. What a game.

10:45 p.m. — Controversial call! Joel Embiid is whistled for the foul, but he appeared to cleanly block OG Anunoby's shot. Anunoby makes one of his two free throw attempts to tie the game at 101. After a stalled possession and 76ers timeout, Embiid launches a 3-pointer from the wing and... IT'S GOOD!

10:40 p.m. — Both teams are sinking clutch shots. An OG Anunoby 3-pointer. A Joel Embiid fadeaway jumper. This is wild. The 76ers hold a one-point lead with just over a minute remaining.

End of fourth quarter: Raptors 95, 76ers 95

10:35 p.m. — Joel Embiid shoots the 3-pointer for the win... no good! Tobias Harris grabs the offensive rebound and his putback attempt is... no good! We're heading to overtime.

10:30 p.m. — James Harden fouls Precious Achiuwa, and that's No. 6. Doc Rivers challenges the call, but Harden clearly grabbed Achiuwa's arm. Unfortunately for the Raptors, Achiuwa misses both free throws. Raptors 95, 76ers 95 with 27.2 seconds on the clock.

10:25 p.m. — OG Anunoby is called for goaltending on a James Harden layup. That was incredibly close. After reviewing the play, the officiating crew says the call on the floor stands. The 76ers are down one.

10:15 p.m. — The 76ers and Raptors are trading buckets. This is highly entertaining. We've got a tie game with three minutes to go.

10 p.m. — Uh oh. James Harden picks up his fifth foul. He will head to the bench with nine minutes left in regulation.

End of third quarter: Raptors 75, 76ers 74

9:55 p.m. — Joel Embiid scores 18 of his 23 points in the third quarter, and the 76ers win the frame 28-19. During his in-game interview, Raptors coach Nick Nurse says his team has to limit Embiid's touches.

9:40 p.m. — GET OUT OF THE WAY. JOEL EMBIID HAMMERS IT DOWN.

9:35 p.m. — James Harden finds an opening and cruises to the rim for an easy layup. The 76ers have cut the deficit down to five. Raptors coach Nick Nurse calls a timeout.

9:30 p.m. — Joel Embiid hits the pull-up elbow jumper. Let's see if that wakes him up. He was very quiet in the first half.

Halftime: Raptors 56, 76ers 46

9:10 p.m. — Pascal Siakam beats the buzzer with the midrange jumper, giving the Raptors a 10-point lead heading into the locker room. The story of the first half has been turnovers. The 76ers turned the ball over 14 times, fueling Toronto's transition attack.

9 p.m. — Fred VanVleet drills the 3-pointer from the Scotiabank Arena logo. The Raptors are shooting 50 percent from deep as a team.

8:55 p.m. — Gary Trent Jr. looks like a new man. He already has nine points in the first half of Game 3. He had nine points combined in Games 1 and 2.

8:45 p.m. — As 76ers coach Doc Rivers said during his in-game interview, the Raptors are playing harder and with more aggression. Toronto kicks off the second quarter with a 9-2 run.

End of first quarter: Raptors 29, 76ers 19

8:40 p.m. — Joel Embiid ends the first quarter with a spectacular block, but the Raptors are heading back to the bench with a 10-point lead.

8:35 p.m. — Gary Trent Jr. in transition... swish. The Raptors are on an 8-0 run, and this crowd is pumped.

8:25 p.m. — The 76ers have already committed more turnovers in the first quarter of Game 3 than they did in the entirety of Game 1. The Raptors have been active and physical defensively.

8:15 p.m. — What a start for the Raptors. Pascal Siakam throws down the two-handed slam to give Toronto an early 6-0 lead.

8:10 p.m. — The Raptors win the opening tip, and Khem Birch scores the first bucket of Game 3. Here we go.
