Detroit ultimately got swept 4-0, but the young rookie made more headlines with his post-game comment of Lebron James than he did with his play.
Now, entering his second year in the league, Johnson doubled down on his comments through a self-written piece on The Players' Tribune .
"Now, do I regret what I said about Bron?" he questioned. "No. I meant every word I said. I wasn’t going to just roll over because he was the best player in the league."
Johnson does acknowledge through the article that he has respect for James and his game. However, don't expect him to be kneeling at the King's alter anytime soon.
"I never back down from competition and I always feel like players put their shoes on the same way I do."
The Pistons and Cavs square off for the first time on November 19th in Cleveland.
