With Anthony Davis already shut down for the season, the New Orleans Pelicans received more bad news Tuesday when Jrue Holiday was lost for the season and Ryan Anderson was diagnosed with a sports hernia, the team announced.
Anderson, who is averaging 17.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game, will seek a second opinion from a specialist in Philadelphia later this week.

Holiday has been diagnosed with a right inferior orbital wall fracture. The injury occurred in Monday night's game against the Knicks. The UCLA product finishes the season averaging 16.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.4 steals per game.
The Pelicans also lost forward Alonzo Gee for the rest of the season with a complete rupture of the right quad muscle.
New Orleans fans will hope the offseason will allow everyone a chance to rest and get healthy for the start of next season.
