The Dallas Mavericks made their one and only trip to Madison Square Garden on Wednesday (AEDT) and walked away with a 110-97 win over the Knicks.

Before the game, Dirk Nowitzki sounded like a man who might be playing his last game at the historic arena.
“I’ll miss playing here. It’s always a special place to play," Nowitzki said via Tim MacMahon of ESPN.
"The atmosphere, the history of this place. It’s definitely a place that I will miss."
Much like every NBA star, Nowitzki elevated his game in the Big Apple. In 17 career games at the Garden, the former Finals MVP is averaging 24.9 points, 7.4 rebounds on 49.5% shooting from the field.
At 39 and in the middle of his 19th season in the league, many have questioned whether or not this season would be the last we see Nowitzki on the floor for the Mavs.
With Dallas already eliminated from the playoffs and the franchise in rebuilding mode, it doesn't look promising that we'll see the big man for much longer.
In what could be his final game in New York Nowitzki finished with 13 points and six rebounds in 22 minutes.
"Hopefully I will come back again one more time, but we’ll see how it goes.”
