The 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup is here.

Set to kick off in the Philippines, Japan and Indonesia on Friday, Aug. 25, the top basketball countries in the world will compete for a Gold Medal.

The New Zealand Tall Blacks are looking to bounce back from a 19th-place finish at the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China. They just missed an invitation to the Second Round of the tournament after falling to Greece to finish 1-2 in group play.

Led by Isaac Fotu, Shea Ili, Flynn Cameron and Fin Delany, the Tall Blacks will compete in one of the toughest groups the 2023 FIBA World Cup has to offer. They will open the tournament against the United States — arguably the best team in competing in the World Cup.
