Admit it, you haven't given much thought to the Spurs this season.

It's OK. Well, it's not, but you're not alone.

Monday night's 118-81 dismantling of the Jazz was the Spurs' fourth consecutive win by more than 20 points. It also gave them a 21-5 record, good for second place in the Western Conference behind some team from the Bay Area.

Ah, yes. That would be the Warriors. The same Warriors whose historically good start (24-1) has overshadowed an otherwise pretty good one by the Spurs. Despite the Warriors' near-perfection, the Spurs are just four games behind them in the standings.

"We just do what we do, the same boring thing for 20 years," a monotone Spurs coach Gregg Popovich told reporters after the win, his 1,043th, passing Rick Adelman for eighth all time. "And whatever happens, happens, and we move on."

This isn't your big brother's Spurs team, of course. The Big Three (Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili) are still there, but Kawhi Leonard, 20.7 points per game, is now the main attraction. He scored a game-high 22 points Monday. And then there's big man LaMarcus Aldridge, who added 18 points with eight rebounds and is finding his rhythm offensively with his new squad.

Despite the changes at the top, the championship core is still there. And you're still sleeping.

Some things never change.
