The NBA preseason action continued on Thursday with an action-packed seven-game slate. Here's a quick glance at all the scores from this morning: 

Detroit Pistons 116, Charlotte Hornets 110

In their final preseason game, the Pistons beat the Hornets without starters Blake Griffin and Reggie Jackson. Langston Galloway was the game's top-scorer with 18 points, while Andre Drummond finished with a double-double of 17 points, 15 rebounds, and four assists in 27 minutes. 

For the Hornets, who finished their 2019 preseason with a 1-4 record, Malik Monk led the way with 18 points.

Atlanta Hawks 100, New York Knicks 96

In the penultimate game of their 2019 preseason, the Hawks registered their first win, beating the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

Trae Young was the game's top scorer and finished with a near double-double of 23 points, nine assists and five rebounds.

 

For the Knicks, rookie RJ Barrett recorded 12 points, seven rebounds, and six assists in 40 minutes, while Julius Randle was the team's top-scorer with 20.

San Antonio Spurs 128, Houston Rockets 114

In their fourth preseason game of 2019, the Spurs registered their first win. They had six players score in double figures with the team shooting 57.1 percent (52-of-91) from the field. 

For the Rockets, who were playing their final home preseason game, James Harden stuffed the stat sheet with 40 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists on 13-of-27 shooting in 34 minutes.

Memphis Grizzlies 124, Oklahoma City Thunder 99

The Oklahoma City Thunder wrapped up their preseason with a 25-point loss in Memphis, without Chris Paul.

Dillon Brooks led the Grizzlies, who were without Ja Morant and Jae Crowder, scoring a game-high 30 points on 10-of-17 shooting in 27 minutes.

Portland Trail Blazers 126, Utah Jazz 118

The Blazers cruised to a victory over the Jazz, led by their star backcourt in Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum.

McCollum finished with 28 points (11-of-15 FGs) in 29 minutes, while Lillard added 25 points (8-of-13 FGs) in 29 minutes.

Portland enjoyed an efficent shooting night, going 48-of-83 from the field (57.8%) and 15-of-27 from beyond the arc (55.6%).  

For the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell led them in scoring with 27 points in 29 minutes.

Melbourne United 110, Sacramento Kings 124

In the final NBLxNBA clash of the 2019 preseason, the Kings, who were playing their final preseason game, comfortably eased past Melbourne United.

Marvin Bagley III led the way with his double-double of 30 points and 14 rebounds in 27 minutes. For the NBL franchise, Chris Goulding was the top-scorer with 25 points on 9-of-16 shooting, including 7-of-10 from the three-point line.

Golden State Warriors 93, Los Angeles Lakers 126

Stephen Curry sat out this one, but the all the major rotation players for the Lakers took the court.

LeBron James (18 points, 11 assists, four rebounds) and Anthony Davis (eight points, 11 rebounds, eight assists) put in a dominant display in their short time on the court as they helped the team jump to a 13-point lead after the first quarter. The Lakers never looked back after that, to eventually finish with a 33-point win. 

For the Warriors, D'Angelo Russell was the top-scorer with 23 points in 27 minutes. Both teams will face-off again on Saturday at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
