The Celtics All-Star guard told reporters Wednesday he's been watching film and receiving playing advice from Bryant ever since the Bulls took a 2-0 series lead on the Celtics in the first-round playoff series.
“He was telling me what times to go to, and what to look at, and certain plays, things I didn’t look at when I watched film," Thomas said. "… He made me figure out a lot of things.”

Thomas, who scored 53 points Wednesday against the Wizards on what would have been his sister Chyna’s 23rd birthday, said Bryant reached out to him after his sister died in a car accident and has stayed in touch to help with basketball.
Thomas says the five-time NBA champion Bryant is mentally "on a different level" than anyone else because of the details of what he saw in the game film and suggestions on how to beat certain defenses.
Bryant has been supportive of Thomas' recent play on Twitter as well.
Nope. He plays with #MambaMentality but he is now and forever will be known as the #MightyIT https://t.co/tWH8FEH9Lz
