The 25-year-old will now be a member of 2019's loaded free agency class. Earlier in the week, Cleveland.com reported he was seeking a three-year deal in the $27 million range.
Hood began last season with the Jazz, where he averaged 16.8 points in 39 games, before he was traded to the Cavaliers in early February. He then tallied 10.8 points per game in 21 regular season appearances with Cleveland. But, he struggled to stay in the Cavaliers' rotation in the playoffs. He finished the postseason averaging 5.4 points in 17 games.
Restricted free agent Rodney Hood is signing a one-year, $3.4M qualifying offer to re-sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers, per league sources.
