The Celtics became the first team in NBA history to win a Finals game by double-digits after trailing by double-digits entering the fourth quarter.

At one stage the Celtics were down 103-100 but closed the game on a 20-5 run to seal the Game 1 win.

Al Horford was the talk of the social media world, playing in his first NBA Finals game after 15 seasons in the league, the Celtics' veteran stepped up big time with 26 points, including 6-of-8 made 3-pointers.

Derrick White, who contributed 21 points, including five made 3-pointers too, was also trending on social as NBA players, both current and former, were in awe of the Celtics' impressive win.

Despite the loss, the Warriors' Steph Curry set the NBA Finals record for 3-pointers made in a quarter with six in the first quarter.

Game 2 of the Finals will be on Sunday. Hopefully, these two teams cook up another classic for us then.
