Sources told ESPN that the injury is considered "serious" and it "doesn't look good."

Cousins already had a triple-double (15 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists) before the injury, but he could be facing a lengthy absence.

The Pelicans held on to beat the Rockets 115-113 at home, handing Houston its first loss this season when James Harden, Chris Paul, and Clint Capela were all in the starting lineup (19-1).

While New Orleans will take the win, all eyes will be on the training room as the extent of Cousins' leg injury is assessed.

Head coach Alvin Gentry spoke to the media after the game.

ESPN's Wojnarowski is reporting that Cousins will indeed miss the rest of the season.

More to come.
