It's been a whirlwind off-season for the 21-year-old after he and the Oklahoma City Thunder bowed out of the playoffs in the second round to the Dallas Mavericks, he was packing his bags in a trade for Alex Caruso, finding a new home in Chicago.

Soon after, he was on a plane to Paris with the Australian men's national team for the 2024 Olympics, where he put together one of the best stretches of basketball in his career, emerging as the team's focal point, leading the Boomers in scoring at 17.5 points per game, adding a team-high 6.0 assists, and 7.8 rebounds on 51.4 percent shooting and 47.4 percent from the 3-point line.

Now with the Bulls, Giddey is set for a big season in a contract year, as the team's lead ball-handler and enters the 2024-25 season as the highest-rated Australian player at 79, dropping down from his initial NBA 2K24 rating of 83.

Just below Giddey, is another one of the Boomers' key men from Paris, Jock Landale, who received a boost in his 2K rating, coming in at 76, up from the 74 he started last season at.

Despite playing just 15 games for the Brooklyn Nets last season, Ben Simmons' rating remains unchanged at 76, tied with Charlotte Hornets wing Josh Green. Rounding out the Top 5 Aussies is Dante Exum at 75.

The newest Aussie to make the leap to the NBA, Indiana Pacers rookie Johnny Furphy, who was selected with the No. 35 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, came in at a 70 overall rating — the fifth-highest mark among rookies.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Aussies came out at the top with two players in the top five. Portland Trail Blazers wing Matisse Thybulle holds the highest overall steal rating at 98, while Atlanta Hawks guard Dyson Daniels comes in tied for third with Marcus Smart and Delon Wright at 96.

As the rest of the player ratings come out this week, the remaining Aussies will have their ratings revealed. We'll keep you updated as they drop.
