Kevin Love is no longer welcome at the Target Center. During the former Timberwolves forward's return to Minnesota on Saturday night, fans booed Love, who was traded to the Cavaliers in July.

It's too bad, considering Love was a three-time All-Star for the Timberwolves and one of just five players to ever reach that status along with Kevin Garnett, Sam Cassell, Wally Szczerbiak and Tom Gugliotta.

There were a smattering of Love jerseys in the crowd but most expressed their unhappiness with the forward.

It makes sense considering the saga between Love and Minneapolis. The fact that he wanted out of Minnesota after a contentious relationship with former GM David Kahn and owner Glen Taylor was behind the thinnest of veils. The duo famously bungled Love's new contract in 2012 by refusing to give him a full five-year max.

As with any relationship, the one between Love and Minnesota is complicated. Sometimes it's easier just to express yourself in boos.

The Timberwolves organization at least tried to make nice by running a tribute video on the Jumbotron during the game. Fans still couldn't hold back their contempt and wound up booing a list of Love's accolades and charitable works.

Fun times.
