Mills finished with a team-high 26 points but his San Antonio Spurs fell to the Philadelphia Sixers 112-106.
It was the 20th time this season Mills has gone double-digit scoring this year as the Spurs continue to get healthy bodies back in the lineup.
Mostly coming off the bench Mills is playing in a career-high 24.5 minutes per game and although his number overall have taken a slight dip he's focus on winning and continuing to build a culture in San Antonio.

"I knew what I was getting into when I re-signed back for another four years," Mills told ESPN's Nick Metallinos on Wednesday (AEDT) . "It's more than just numbers with what I'm trying to bring now.
"I'm a leader, and a leader of a group that's trying to push the Spurs' culture on to the next generation.
"Whatever my numbers are is beside the point, because this is a big-picture thing and the organization has been successful for a long time so we gotta make sure it keeps moving forward."
Despite the loss, the Spurs still sit in third place in the Western Conference.
Mills and the Spurs will look to regroup when they play the Phoenix Suns on January 6 at 12:30 p.m. AEDT.
