Mikhail Prokhorov is a big man with big pockets, so it makes sense he wants a bigger piece of Brooklyn's NBA franchise.
The Russian billionare reportedly wants to own both the Nets and Barclays Arena completely, according to the New York Post.
Already a 45 percent owner of the arena and an 80 percent owner of the team, Prokhorov wouldn't have to put up much more cash to own the team, currently valued at approximately $700 million.
Bruce Ratner’s Forest City Enterprises, which owns the rest of the the team and the arena, already owes Prokhorov $31 million, according to the report.
With Forest City's share of the team and arena valued at approximately $100 million, Prokhorov could pay as little as $69 million after buying a controlling interest in the team for $200 million in 2010.
