It was later clarified that while Dellavedova was hospitalised, it was only for severe cramping and Dellavedova had actually walked to the ambulance on his power.

The Cavs released the following statement on Dellavedova early Wednesday morning: "Cavaliers guard Matthew Dellavedova experienced severe cramping tonight following Game 3 of the NBA Finals in Cleveland. He underwent a treatment process, including an IV, that prevented him from being available for media following the game. He will continue receiving treatment tonight at the Cleveland Clinic and his status will be updated tomorrow afternoon."

LeBron James is leading the Cavaliers through the NBA Finals without All-Stars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, but luckily for him, he’ll have his full cast of role players for Thursday's Game 4.

Matthew Dellavedova excelled in the Cavs’ Game 3 win Tuesday for 20 points, while defending league MVP Stephen Curry. But cramps landed Dellavedova in the hospital following the win.

"I felt like a pushed the limit a few times," Dellavedova said Wednesday after being released from the hospital, via ESPN.com. "That's the most tired I've been. I'm feeling good now, though."

Cavs coach David Blatt said Dellavedova’s “tank is low, but we're doing everything we can to fill it back up."

As for Iman Shumpert, who injured his left shoulder running into a Draymond Green screen and finished the game after a short trip to the locker room, had an MRI on Wednesday that showed no structural damage, just a bruise.

"I'm all right, this isn't the regular season," Shumpert said. "It would take a lot for me not to play, there would have to be structural damage."

Despite the minor injuries suffered in Game 3, Matthew Dellavedova and Iman Shumpert will both play in Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

With the Cavs leading the NBA Finals, 2-1, Game 4 tips at 11am AEST in Cleveland.
