Grizzlies forward Matt Barnes is used to playing the role of villain, but he’s a hero for the moment. That is, unless you're a Pistons fan.
Barnes sunk a 31-foot desparation shot with 1.1 seconds remaining to give the Grizzlies (13-10) a 93-92 win over the Pistons (12-11) on Wednesday. Just moments earlier, Reggie Jackson hit a three to put Detroit up late in the game.

After Marc Gasol hit a couple free throws, the Pistons could not score to ice the game. With the score 92-90 in favour of Detroit, Barnes rebounded a Pistons' miss with five seconds left, dribbled toward half-court and let it rip. He finished the game with eight points and 11 rebounds.

“Lucky is better than nothing,” Barnes told Fox Sports after the game.
