Lowry is set to hit the free agent market on July 2 (AEDT). Multiple reports had the Philadelphia native linked to the Sixers as a potential landing spot in the off-season.
However with the recent trade by the Sixers to move into position to select Markelle Fultz in Friday's upcoming Draft, that scenario might be as good as closed.
In his five seasons in Toronto, the 31-year-old averaged 18.2 points, 6.8 assists and 1.6 steals per game.
