The Warriors sent a message in Game 2.

After dropping Game 1 at home, Golden State came out and trounced the Lakers by 27 points, 127-100, to even the series at 1-1.

Los Angeles actually had a seven-point lead at the end of the first quarter, but the Warriors blew the game open by scoring a combined 84 points in the second and third quarters to pull away. Sharpshooter Klay Thompson caught fire from 3-point range, finishing with 30 points on eight made triples.

Golden State was able to shut down Anthony Davis after he dominated in Game 1, holding the superstar forward to just 11 points and seven rebounds.

Final: Warriors 127, Lakers 100

11:39 p.m.: And that'll do it. The Warriors destroyed the Lakers in Game 2, coming away with a 127-100 victory to even the series.

Klay Thompson stole the show with 30 points and eight 3-pointers. Stephen Curry excelled as a distributor, dishing out 12 assists to go with 20 points. Despite a strong first half from LeBron James, his 23 points were not enough to uphold a poor performance from Anthony Davis, who finished with 11 points and seven rebounds.

The series will head to Los Angeles for Game 3 on Saturday.

11:28 p.m.: The starters have been pulled and this one is all but over. The Warriors lead the Lakers 125-95 with 4:37 to play in the game. If you're curious about the discourse around the game in the fourth quarter, this tweet will give you an idea.

End of third quarter: Warriors 110, Lakers 80

11:05 p.m.: The Warriors have completely blown this one open with back-to-back 40-point quarters. Klay Thompson has a game-high 30 points, while Stephen Curry has 19 points and 12 assists. The Lakers are wasting a 27-point outing from LeBron James, as Anthony Davis only has 11 points on the night.

11:02 p.m.: Stephen Curry gets a circus 3-pointer to fall and one possession later, LeBron James receives a technical for arguing for a foul call. The wheels are falling off for the Lakers, trailing by almost 30 points, 106-78.

11:00 p.m.: Klay Thompson will not let the Lakers back into this game. Thompson knocked down his eighth 3-pointer of the game, followed by a fastbreak layup. He's up to 30 points on the night, giving Golden State a 99-78 lead with under two minutes remaining in the frame.

10:56 p.m.: Should Dennis Schroder have been given a Flagrant 1 for this knee grab on Draymond Green? After review, the play was ruled a common foul.

10:45 p.m.: JaMychal Green has answered the call. Head coach Steve Kerr elected to start Green in place of Kevon Looney, who is dealing with an illness. Green has responded by going for 15 points while shooting 6-for-10 from the field and 3-for-6 from 3-point land.

The Warriors remain in the lead 90-72 with 5:30 left in the third.

10:38 p.m.: It is officially a Klay Thompson Game. Thompson has exploded at Chase Center, knocking down another two 3-pointers to start the second half. He has 25 points on 7-for-9 shooting from deep, giving the Warriors an 82-64 lead with 7:46 to play in the frame.

Halftime: Warriors 67, Lakers 56

10:17 p.m.: The Warriors broke things open with a 41-point second quarter. Klay Thompson is on fire, up to a team-high 19 points on the night after knocking down five 3-pointers in the first half.

Golden State's defense on Anthony Davis was a huge story in the first half, holding the star forward to just four points. LeBron James is trying to keep the Lakers in it with a game-high 21 points.

One thing to keep an eye on — Stephen Curry picked up his third foul late in the second quarter. He has eight points and eight assists at the half.

10:01 p.m.: After dominating Game 1, Anthony Davis has been quiet so far in Game 2. The All-Star big man only has four points in 18 minutes, but he has dished out four assists. Rui Hachimura is making up for his scoring void with 14 points on 4-of-4 shooting from deep.

9:58 p.m.: Klay Thompson is feeling it from 3-point range. The Splash Brother has 11 points on 3-for-4 shooting from deep. The Warriors lead 48-45 with five minutes left in the half.

9:56 p.m.: Oh it's going to be this type of night for LeBron James? The King knocks down his third 3-pointer of the night in dramatic fashion.

9:47 p.m.: Klay Thompson knocks down his second 3-pointer of the night, giving the Warriors a 36-35 lead with 9:17 to play in the half. Stephen Curry has played a distributor role so far in this one, dishing out six assists.

End of first quarter: Lakers 33, Warriors 26

9:40 p.m.: LeBron James is in attack mode tonight, folks. The superstar forward is up to 14 points already, shooting 6-for-8 from the field and 2-for-3 from 3 to give the Lakers a lead after the first frame.

9:34 p.m.: The Warriors are using a balanced scoring attack to keep things close, trailing the Lakers 21-19 with 2:58 remaining in the first quarter. Klay Thompson and interim starter JaMychal Green have five points each. Stephen Curry has made his only shot attempt, 1-for-1 from 3-point range with three assists.

9:24 p.m.: Another 3-ball falls for LeBron James, who is up to eight points in the first six minutes of the game. The Lakers lead the Warriors 14-12 with 6:14 to play in the frame.

9:14 p.m.: LeBron James has struggled mightily from 3-point range this postseason, shooting 18.4 percent. It's a good sign for the Lakers that he was able to get his first attempt of the night to fall.
