Lakers' Lonzo Ball 'a little frustrated' with his poor shooting image

Lonzo Ball shot a woeful 2-for-15 in the Lakers 128-125 loss to the Pelicans on Friday (AEDT).

Two games before that against the Miami Heat he was 4-for-15, and the game before that in Golden State against the Warriors he finished 3-for-11 - needless to say his jump shot isn't falling.

“I’d shoot them the same, just hope I made them,” Ball told the Spectrum SportsNet broadcast according to USA Today.

“The shots I’m getting, I like them, I’ve been hitting them my whole life. A little frustrated they’re not going in, though.”

After seemingly finding his stroke following the all-star break, Ball has reverted back to the poor shooting that plagued the rookie at the beginning of the season.

In his last six outings, Ball has gone 14-for-67 from the field for 21%. Los Angeles is just 2-4 in that stretch and on a four-game losing streak.

The 20-year-old admits that he has seen a regression in his mechanics and a simple tweak here or there could see his shot fall once again.

“Some of the time, I leave my hand up. I’ve got to leave my hand up more,” Ball said.

The Lakers will be back in action on Sunday (AEDT) against a Memphis Grizzlies team that just saw Kemba Walker break the Hornets franchise record for threes

If there's any match-up that Ball could find his range back, Memphis may be as good as any.

"They’re shots I’ve been hitting my whole life. They’re just not going in right now.”
