The Mavericks have been hit with injuries in the final weeks of the regular season.

Kyrie Irving has missed time with a foot issue, joining backcourt mate Luka Doncic on recent injury reports.

Dallas finds itself in the Play-In race with a 35-35 record. An extended stretch without Irving and Doncic puts them at risk of sliding in the Western Conference standings.

What is Kyrie Irving's injury?

The Mavericks haven't offered specifics on Irving's status, only referring to his injury as "right foot soreness."

Irving first noticed the issue after playing 41 minutes against the Pelicans on March 8. He was then ruled out of a March 11 matchup with the Grizzlies.

"He tried to go through shootaround, went through shootaround, and from that point, [we] felt like we needed to take a look at it when we got back home," Dallas coach Jason Kidd said. "So, the best thing was to sit him tonight."

How long will Kyrie Irving be out?

Irving has been upgraded from questionable to available on the Mavericks' official injury report for the March 17 game against the Lakers.
