Kobe Bryant's farewell NBA season gave way to another milestone Thursday when the Lakers great became the third player in league history to score 33,000 points for his career.

He achieved the feat while the Lakers were trailing big (LA staged a big rally in the fourth quarter, only to lose 118-115), but Bryant did have 28 points through three quarters against the Kings, and looked rejuvenated on both ends of the court.
Fellow Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (38,387) and Jazz great Karl Malone (36,928) are the only other players to achieve the 33,000 mark.
Bryant has already announced this will be his final season in the league, but he's doing a good job of painting lasting memories in his fans' minds on his way out.
