"I think the Knicks wanted to see where Frank’s head is at," a source told the Post.
Knicks president Phil Jackson has also interviewed former Cleveland Cavaliers coach David Blatt. He also showed interest in Luke Walton, who instead joined the Los Angeles Lakers last week.
The Pacers announced Thursday they would not bring Vogel back after losing to the Toronto Raptors in the first round of the playoffs. Pacers president Larry Bird wants to improve Indiana's struggling offense and Vogel is known as a bright defensive mind.
The Houston Rockets are also reportedly interested in Vogel.
