Cavs 'definitely concerned' about Kevin Love's ailing knee image

At first, Kevin Love's knee issue seemed like an afterthought to his troublesome back. Now, it appears the injury could keep the All-Star out for a significant period of time.

Love will receive a second opinion on his left knee Tuesday after undergoing an MRI over the weekend. The results of the initial MRI were not made public, but Love was immediately ruled out of Tuesday's clash against the Timberwolves.

If Love's second opinion doesn't go well, signs are pointing to a lengthy absence.

"I would love to be able to tell you that he'll miss three games and be back, but I can't right now because we don't know," general manager David Griffin said, via cleveland.com.

Love is supposed to play in the All-Star Game over the weekend, however that is looking unlikely.

Coach Tyronn Lue is worried about his big man's health. With teams like the Wizards, Celtics and Hawks all playing good basketball, Cleveland can ill-afford to lose a key cog for a serious length of time.

"Always concerned when guys are going down," Lue said. "And we're already limited as it is. Definitely concerned, but gotta see how he feels. Just, get evaluated (Tuesday) and see how he feels."

Channing Frye should fill into Love's shoes while he's out.
