Josh Green injury update

Green sent a scare through the Boomers' camp during their 78-74 win over France in Tokyo.

With 7:49 to play in the second quarter, Green tripped as he attempted to drive by Vincent Poirier and was seen hobbling as he made his way off the court.

He went back to the locker room and returned to the Boomers bench, but played no further part in the game.

He exited the contest with three points, one assist, and one rebound in 7:51 minutes on court.

Will Josh Green be available for Australia's game against Finland?

According to Tom Hersz, Basketball Australia confirmed that Green suffered a 'minor left ankle sprain' and will be available for the Australian Boomers' opening World Cup group phase game against Finland.

After seeing limited court time in the Boomers' Olympic bronze medal run in Tokyo, Green is poised to play a huge role for the Boomers at the World Cup as they look to add to their medal collection.

"We're trying to win, man," Green told The Sporting News.

"We were able to get a bronze medal at the Olympics and it was cool and it was great. But I think everybody's goal this year is to go for gold. Just go in there with a competitive nature and be ready to go."
