The near future of the Bucks will be determined by John Hammond and Jason Kidd.
The franchise gave Hammond a one-year extension Monday, putting the general manager and his coach under contract for two more seasons.
"A great deal of our team's success and progress is due to the vision and hard work of John," Bucks owner Wes Edens said, via the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "He's assembled a talented and competitive roster and we're very pleased that he will continue to lead basketball operations."
Hammond, 61, has served as Bucks GM since April 2008 and was named NBA Executive of the Year in 2010. The Bucks went 41-41 last season and lost to the Bulls in six games in the first round of the playoffs.
Also Monday, the Bucks said they are cutting ties with former Pacers GM David Morway, who had served as an assistant GM under Hammond the last two years.
