Seven-time All-Star Joe Johnson has signed with the Miami Heat after clearing waivers on Saturday.
Johnson, 34, will be eligible for post-season play after clearing waivers.
He averaged 11.8 points, 4.1 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game with the Brooklyn Nets this season.
"Joe is a friend of mine, he saw my name in his inbox a lot recently. He's welcomed to Miami with open arms," Dwyane Wade said.
Johnson, who has spent the last three-plus seasons with the Nets, will give Miami another veteran shooter.
He may have to pick up some of the offensive slack if Chris Bosh is unable to return this season.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
