Grizzlies star Ja Morant is back to posterizing defenders and lighting up the NBA with his otherworldly athleticism.

The embattled point guard looks like he's beginning to hit his stride after returning from an eight-game suspension, and this time Trail Blazers center Drew Eubanks was the victim.

Morant got right past Eubanks on his way to the rim in the first quarter of Tuesday's game, and Eubanks made the fatal mistake of following him under the basket and jumping with him. Morant made him pay with a monster slam.

The dunk was so thunderous it even claimed another victim: Portland rookie Shaedon Sharpe felt the brunt of it as well.

This photo of Morant's shadow might make the dunk look better than the video itself. Is that even possible?

Every angle of Morant's dunk is better than the last.

It's been a rocky season for Morant, who was away from the Grizzlies for close to three weeks after he appeared to flash a gun in an Instagram Live video.

Morant later apologized, announcing he planned to "get help and work on learning better methods of dealing with stress and my overall well-being." The NBA handed him an eight-game suspension for conduct detrimental to the league.

While he hasn't looked like himself at times since returning two weeks ago, Morant posting a triple-double on Saturday and turning Tuesday's win over Portland into a dunk contest is an encouraging sign for the Grizzlies as they prepare for the playoffs.
