Australia centre Andrew Bogut remains hopeful of playing at the Rio Olympics despite his season-ending knee injury.
Bogut is out for at least six weeks after bruising to his proximal tibia and distal femur during the Warriors' loss to Cleveland in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
The 31-year-old travelled with the team ahead of Game 6 on Thursday, but — while he has avoided surgery — he is out for up to eight weeks.
Australia's first game at the Rio Games is on August 6, leaving Bogut in a race against time to be fit.
However, Basketball Australia said on Thursday that Bogut had spoken to coach Andrej Lemanis and remains "committed" to playing.
Bogut has been in talks with coach Lemanis. He remains committed to Rio & will make a statement in the coming days. https://t.co/H1coMkHFj8
