Schroder injured his foot late in Atlanta’s 116-104 loss to Brooklyn on Monday. He told reporters he plans to be back on the court Friday against the Bulls.

“I don't know how it works out," Schroder said. "Let the team try to win the game in Miami and then we going to see day-by-day."

Malcolm Delaney will start in place of Schroder if he misses time.

"As a backup you just have to be prepared for anything and it's unfortunate," Delaney said. "Hopefully Dennis is good but that's part of my job. Just got to stay ready and figure out whatever."

Schroder, 24, leads the team averaging 23.3 points and 6.7 assists through three games.
