The Memphis Grizzlies have apparently settled on their next head coach.
Longtime Miami Heat assistant David Fizdale has been offered the position and is in the process of finalising a contract with the Grizzlies, The Vertical reported Wednesday.

Fizdale has been an assistant with the Heat since 2008, helping the team to four consecutive NBA Finals appearances and winning two championships in 2012 and 2013. Fizdale, who has worked in the NBA since 2003 but never as a head coach, was a finalist for the job along with Spurs assistant James Borrego.
The Grizzlies parted ways with Dave Joerger earlier this month after the team was swept by the San Antonio Spurs in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
The Sacramento Kings later hired Joerger to replace George Karl.
