Bogut admits he lost some confidence after being benched during his team's successful NBA Finals campaign.
The Australian was replaced in the starting lineup for Game 4 after the Warriors found themselves 2-1 behind.
Bogut played just three minutes for the remainder of the series, but his Warriors went on to clinch their first NBA championship in 40 years.
Asked if he was capable of more on the offensive end for Golden State, Bogut revealed his confidence had taken a hit due to the benching.
"Possibly. I lost a bit of confidence late in the season, and then we went small," the 30-year-old told NBA Australia.
"It was a different adjustment for me not playing a lot of minutes in the last two games.
"He [assistant coach Ron Adams] is always on me about trying to be more aggressive on offence, but we have so much talent there that I take a backseat at times.
"I think that kind of pisses him off, so he's always on me to be more aggressive, he knows what I can bring on both ends.
"I won't try to change it too much because we just won a championship."
Bogut, who is in Australia preparing for the FIBA Oceania Championship matches against New Zealand, has no doubt he will bounce back.
After averaging 4.7 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 19 playoff games, Bogut said the playoff run may have had an impact.
"Yeah, I think it'll be fine. It was a long season, it was the first time I've gone into June," he said.
"I don't really know what it was; I guess I just got into a little lull there. I tried to dig my way out, but it was at a point in the season where we only ended up having essentially two games left.
"They made a change, and it worked out, but it was frustrating and something I have to work on."
