Dwight Howard has been the subject of trade rumours for weeks, but he is not looking to leave the Houston Rockets.
The NBA trade deadline is just around the corner and no name is hotter than Howard, who has been linked with a move to the Charlotte Hornets, Miami Heat, Toronto Raptors and Atlanta Hawks.
Howard is in his third season with the Rockets after signing as a free agent in 2013. The 30-year-old is an eight-time NBA All-Star, but the team's struggles have made him more expendable as the February 18 trade deadline gets closer.
However, Howard insisted he has no plans to leave Houston.
"I have not asked the Rockets to trade me, nor have I talked about right trades," Howard told ESPN.com.
"I want to win. I want this situation to work. I chose this team."
The Rockets, one year removed from the Western Conference finals, are just 27-28 this season.
Howard said those struggles have not changed the way he feels about the Rockets.
"I'm not running because we have been faced with some adversity," he said.
