Waiters, who went down with a left ankle injury nearly three weeks ago, has decided to undergo season-ending surgery, according to Yahoo Sports' Shams Charania.

The 6-4, 215-pound Waiters is the Heat's second-leading scorer, averaging 14.3 points per game to go with 3.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds. Since his departure, the Heat have won eight of 10, including seven in a row.
