The Bulls received good news Monday when point guard Derrick Rose was cleared by an MRI on his right leg and listed day-to-day, according to The Chicago Tribune .
Rose, who has seen his fair share of injuries crop up in recent seasons, has missed three games with right hamstring tendinitis. Rose was expected to play Sunday against the Raptors, but woke up with pain on the front of his leg so the team brought him in to rule out structural damage to his knee.
“The hamstring feels a lot better. The swelling in the knee has gone down,” coach Fred Hoiberg said. “He had a little bit of soreness and weakness when he did some of the testing before the game. So we took a cautious approach. [Tuesday], we’ll see how he reacts overnight and then see how he is in the morning.”
The 27-year-old had missed only two games this season before the latest injury and is averaging 14.4 points and 5.1 assists in 32.7 minutes per game.
