Being a head coach didn’t work out well for Derek Fisher, so he’s dusting off his jumper and polishing his handles for a potential NBA return, ESPN.com reported Wednesday.

Fisher, 41, played 18 seasons in the NBA with the Lakers, Warriors, Jazz, Mavericks and Thunder. He retired in 2014 and quickly signed a multi-year deal to be the head coach of the Knicks before getting fired the following season.

In his final season (2013-2014) Fisher played 100 total games for the Thunder including playoffs, and averaged 17.6 minutes per game in the regular season.
