The NBA Academy Games will return for its fifth edition this July, as the world's best high school prospects will undertake a five-day event to prepare them for life as a professional.
From July 10 to 14, the players will undergo team practices, as well as life-skills sessions, before playing in 24 exhibition games ending in a single-elimination tournament.
Australia will be represented in a strong way at the event, with a number of players from Down Under selected to attend the Games, including the brother of current NBA guard in Dash Daniels.
Dash Daniels, Jacob Furphy highlight Australian contingent at 2024 NBA Academy Games
11 players in total have been selected to attend the 2024 NBA Academy Games, across both the NBA Global Academy team and the NBA Academy Select team.
Notable amongst these is Dash Daniels, the younger brother of Boomer and new Atlanta Hawks guard Dyson Daniels, who is currently impressing at the U17 FIBA World Cup.
Australian 6'5" guard Dash Daniels (younger brother of Pelicans guard Dyson Daniels) scored 12 of his 14 points in the first half and was a force defensively, finishing with 5 steals, 10 rebounds and 3 assists in Australia's 72-61 win over Canada.

Jacob Furphy has also been selected, and although he bears no relation to 2024 draft pick Johnny Furphy, he is an impressive player who recently showed out at the 2024 Albert Schweitzer Tournament.
Had a great day at the Australian U20 Nationals.

Best player I saw: Jacob Furphy (not related to Johnny). Just an absolute hooper. Tough as hell. Competitive. Winner. Insane hoops IQ. Super skilled.
Felt same way watching him that I did the first time I saw Jaime Jaquez in 2018
The 2024 NBA Academy Games are being held in Atlanta, Georgia, at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School, from July 10-14.
As well as the NBA Global Academy and Academy Select teams, the event will feature three other teams representing the NBA's other academies: NBA Academy Latin America, NBA Academy Africa Red, and NBA Academy Africa Blue.
Additionally, the event will also feature three Nike EYBL teams: All Iowa Attack, Howard Pulley, and MOKAN Elite.
The event will also be open to NCAA coaches and personnel from the second day onwards, and with the Games being held during a live NCAA recruiting period, could potentially see a number of Australians book their tickets to play college basketball.
