The Boston Celtics escaped in Game 1 against the Indiana Pacers, with a 133-128 overtime win to take a 1-0 series lead in the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Celtics were on the ropes at the end of regulation, but Jaylen Brown saved the day with a clutch triple with 5.7 seconds remaining to send the game to overtime.  

From there, the Celtics held their nerve down the stretch to seal the win.

Brown finished with 26 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals, while Jayson Tatum recorded a game-high 36 points and 12 rebounds. Jrue Holiday finished with 28 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and three steals. 

Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers with 25 points and 10 assists, while Pascal Siakam added 24 points and Myles Turner 23.
