It's early, very early in the NBA season but the Cleveland Cavaliers seem to be pulling out all the stops.

ESPN's Dave McMenamin is reporting that the Cavs will start Lebron James at point guard Wednesday (AEDT) against the Chicago Bulls.
Head coach Tyronn Lue said he made the move to try and negate Robin Lopez's offensive rebounding potential.

However, with Isaiah Thomas still out indefinitely with a hip injury and Derrick Rose now on the sidelines with a sprained ankle, the Cavs may have been forced into this decision.
The third point guard on the Cavs roster currently is 36-year-old Jose Calderon who may see spot minutes with Rose and Thomas out but is far from a starter at this point in his career.
Cleveland is coming off a blowout loss to the Orlando Magic and are 2-1 to start the season.
Lue's move to start James at the lead guard spot could be a desperate move considering the injuries the team has or a reaction to the success the Sixers have enjoyed with Ben Simmons starting at the point.
I'd like to say the latter.
