JR Smith remains 'souper' secret on soup-related suspension image

Cavaliers guard JR Smith had little to say Saturday about the soup-throwing incident that led the team to suspend him for Friday's (AEDT) game against the 76ers.

As anyone who has even glanced at social media in the past day knows,  Smith threw a bowl of soup at assistant coach Damon Jones after Saturday's shootaround. The incident not only earned Smith a spot on the bench that night, it sent social media into a frenzy, with memes, speculation about what type of soup he threw, lists ranking the best soups for throwing, etc.

Smith, of course, could shed some light on the subject by revealing what type of soup he'd thrown — and why — but he didn't have much to say Sunday. He told the Associated Press he did not remember what type of soup he'd thrown, and he said "nothing" when asked to explain his motive.

But Smith did have one admission: He says some of the stuff he has seen on the Internet was funny.

"Some of them were actually pretty funny," he said. "I understand that everything I do is going to have a meme or whatever behind it. That's just part of the day and age we live in."

Since Smith wasn't talking, we're left with only questions about the bizarre incident. With that in mind, the Cleveland Plain Dealer dug deep with a video investigation into what type of soups were best for throwing:
