Game Preview
The first three games between the Raptors and the Celtics this season have been absolute thrillers.
Game one saw Kawhi Leonard show his new team that he was worth making the move for in the offseason as he finished with a game-high 31 points in Toronto’s 113-101 win.
Game two was an overtime thriller that saw Kyrie drop 43 points in a Celtics’ 123-116 win.
And game three saw the Raptors go ice cold from three-point range and Kyrie Irving once again prove to be too much down the stretch as Boston walked away with a 117-108 win.
MORE: The Raptors can't stop Kyrie Irving
Game four back in Toronto will be a statement game for both teams. Boston still wants to prove to everyone that they are still the team to beat in the East now that LeBron James ha left and the Raptors want to prove that they can beat on the top teams in the East.
Milwaukee already disposed of the Raptors in their season series 3-1, suffering the same fate to Boston would show a sign of weakness as the playoffs near.
MORE: Analyzing Toronto's potential playoff opponents
The Celtics roster hasn’t changed since the two teams last met, but Toronto will roll out new additions Marc Gasol and Jeremy Lin on Tuesday. Gasol and Lin have given the second unit a different look and this will be the first time Raptors fans will see them in a close-to-playoff environment.
The Raptors will be without Fred VanVleet, who continues to recover from a left thumb injury and the Celtics will likely be without Aron Baynes, who is out with a left foot contusion.
