The consequences Blake Griffin will face for hitting a team trainer likely won’t be known until next week.
Clippers coach Doc Rivers said Griffin feels remorse for striking team trainer Matias Testi in Toronto last week.
“He feels awful,” Rivers said, via The Associated Press. “We've all done some dumb things in our lives. You got to forgive people. We built Richard Nixon a library."
The Clippers have concluded their investigation into the incident but are waiting for the NBA’s inquiry to come back.
"We're very satisfied with all the information we have," Rivers said. "For us, it's closed. Obviously the league has to do something."
Griffin fractured his hand in the incident and is expected to be out four to six weeks with the injury.
