Tuesday night features a tidy five-game slate in the NBA, but plenty of star power throughout the evening. As we do every day at this point in the season, we're taking to TAB and uncovering the best NBA player props of the night, highlighting the highest-value odds so you can boost your bankroll.
Tonight's all about quality over quantity. In what should be a high-scoring affair, Jayson Tatum and the Eastern Conference-leading Celtics tip things off against Pascal Siakam and the young-gunning Pacers (11:30 a.m. AEDT). Meanwhile, LeBron James' Lakers tilt with Trae Young and the Hawks in Atlanta and Jalen Brunson's Knicks welcome Lauri Markannen's Jazz at Madison Square Garden.
At 12:00 p.m. AEDT, we'll see Scottie Barnes lead Toronto into the United Center to face former Raptors franchise player DeMar DeRozan and the Bulls. Then the west-coast nightcap should be a doozy, as the 76ers take on two-time MVP Steph Curry and the Warriors at Chase Center.
It's a low-key great night of NBA hoops, and we can't wait to get some props in. We've been crushing our best bets, top props and Prop-A-Shot series all season, going a collective 66-46 with our betting recommendations. That's a winning percentage of nearly .590, a number we're aiming to elevate even more as the season progresses.
Let's dive into the Tuesday night slate and pinpoint our best bets on TAB, our go-to spot for all the latest odds, lines, and props. Good luck, have fun, and enjoy what should be another solid night of NBA hoops!
Best NBA Prop Bets Today
Myles Turner, C, Pacers at Celtics — OVER 6.5 rebounds ($2.05)
The Pacers are a smart team, led by veteran head coach Rick Carlisle. With Celtics big Kristaps Porzingis remaining out with an ankle injury, Al Horford potentially out as well because he rarely plays back-to-back games, and Luke Kornet dealing with hamstring injuries, Indiana has an advantage to attack down low.
The Pacers have already improved mightily on the glass over the past week since acquiring Pascal Siakam. They went from bottom-three in the NBA in rebounding on the season to top five over the past three games (54.5 boards per game). That's higher than Boston's rebounding average over its past three (52.7), which is saying something considering the Celtics average the second-most boards on the season.
If Porzingis, Horford, and Kornet are all out, Turner should be able to dominate the glass. Boston would likely opt to play small-ball for large portions of the game or roll out inexperienced (and very raw) backup center Neemias Queta. As much as the Portuguese guy in me wants Queta to enjoy a breakout game, we all know it's not happening. Turner grabbed nine boards two games ago versus Joel Embiid, so we like his chances of grabbing seven tonight.
Austin Reaves, G/F, Lakers at Hawks — OVER 16.5 points ($1.85)
With Anthony Davis out (hip/Achilles) and LeBron James officially questionable (ankle), Reaves could be in line for a massive usage upgrade this evening. Most will flood D'Angelo Russell's OVER of 24.5 points, but we think that projection's right where it should be. Reaves to score 17 against Atlanta's feeble perimeter defense seems like much better value.
With the Lakers coming off a 135-119 loss to the Rockets on Monday, the status of LeBron should be viewed as "murky at best." He rarely plays both ends of back-to-backs, especially in two different cities and against below-average opponents. We're thinking there's a good chance the King sits this one out, as he just played 48 minutes in Golden State on Saturday and 37 minutes in Houston last night. That means Reaves will have to ball the eff out.
Reaves won't need to do all his damage outside the three-point arc, either. The Hawks have surrendered the fourth-most points in the paint per game (55.7) this season, and they have committed over 20 fouls per game over their past three contests.
Stephen Curry, G, Warriors vs. 76ers — OVER 4.5 three-pointers ($1.85)
Steph has gone nuclear over the Warriors' past three games, draining 20 three-pointers on 43 attempts. He's not messing around at this point, clearly ticked off at Golden State's underwhelming campaign and opting to take matters into his own hands to salvage the season.
The two-time MVP is also playing with some extra motivation since the tragic loss of beloved Dubs assistant coach Dejan Milojevic, who recently suffered a fatal heart attack during a team dinner.
The Warriors' 19-24 record may seem grim, but they would only be 2.5 games out of the NBA Play-In Tournament if the season ended today and we will never count Chef Curry out. Expect Curry to come out firing once again versus a tough 76ers team, ultimately splashing five-plus triples for the fifth time in six games.
