Brett Brown knew he had a young team and wanted to help build his players characters on and off the court. As part of this mission, Brown implemented a school-like presentation to be given at the team's breakfast by a chosen player.

The presentations are had once a month and are meant to be as Brown puts it "like they're in school and they have a project."

On Wednesday (AEDT) it was rookie Ben Simmons' turn to stand up and teach and naturally he chose to educate his teammates on Australia.

The 21-year-old was paired up with a member of the 76ers video staff to create the presentation and naturally, he showed his squad the viral video of the human-versus-kangaroo fight that surfaced back in 2016.

Other topics during the power point were the nation's geography and unique wildlife.

There's been a vast range of topic at the team's breakfast. Former 76er Nik Stauskas talked about UFOs earlier this year while Dario Saric chose to educate the team on the Croatian War of Independence.

Brown has the 76ers playoff-bound for the first time since 2012. His willingness to think outside the box and challenge his team on and off the court is a large part why they might finish in the top four in the Eastern Conference.

With Philadelphia current riding a seven-game win streak, the former Australian national team head coach might be positioning himself for coach of the year honours.
