Anthony Davis was able to break out of his early season slump Friday night. His team … not so much.
Davis tied his career-high of 43 points but it wasn’t enough to keep the Pelicans from losing to the Hawks 121-115, dropping their fifth straight game to start the season.
The All-Star forward came in to the game shooting below 40 percent on the season but hit 14-of-23 field goal attempts and 14-of-16 free throw attempts in the loss. He also grabbed 10 rebounds, dished out three assists, recorded four steals and blocked three shots in the loss.
