Abrines on Westbrook: 'He's like an idol' image

Oklahoma City Thunder's Russell Westbrook continues to do things unseen since Oscar Robertson's kicks were squeaking on the court.

Westbrook recorded his 15th triple-double on Wednesday in the Thunder's 106-94 win over the Miami Heat.

It was the MVP candidate's 30th of the calendar year (2016) which is the most since Robertson had done so some 50 years ago.

The feat isn't lost on his teammates, mainly OKC's second round pick in 2013 Alex Abrines who is getting his first taste of NBA action this year.

"He's like an idol," Abrines told Nick Gallo of Fox Sports Oklahoma. "We just need to follow him. As a leader he shows us the way to do things. Even if we're like up 15 points and there's still just one minute on the clock, he just goes like a 100% on every play."

While english isn't Abrines' first language his assessment of Westbrook may be the best one yet.
