In-demand Brisbane Broncos back-rower Jaydn Su’A has declared his strong preference to sign a long-term deal to stay at Red Hill.

The New Zealand-born rising star comes off-contract at the end of 2018 and is being circled by rival NRL clubs.

Su’A, who made his NRL debut as an 18-year-old in 2016, has cemented a spot in the Broncos starting side this season due to Matt Gillett’s absence with neck and calf injuries.

The now 20-year-old is considered a future Queensland Origin representative and is one of several boom forwards coming through the Broncos ranks.

He says he’ll consider offers from rival clubs but made it clear he wants to be a fixture of the Broncos’ squad for several seasons to come.

“It’s every kid’s dream to be a one-club player, that’s 100 percent what I want to do,” he told The Courier Mail.

“It’s about where the best opportunity is and where the best spot is to fulfill your potential.

“Regardless if that’s here or not, I’ll make that decision. But I want to stay here - I hope they want me.”

Su’A has been named to start in the back-row in Sunday’s Round 18 clash against the New Zealand Warriors at Suncorp Stadium.

The Broncos’ Origin representatives – Josh McGuire, Andrew McCullough, Corey Oates and James Roberts – have all been selected to back-up from Origin III.

“Obviously if they do back up it’ll be a boost but whether they do or not it’s up to us younger boys to step up and keep going to way we’ve been going,” he told Broncos TV.
