South Sydney star Sam Burgess has reportedly separated from wife Phoebe, ending months of speculation the A-list couple’s marriage was on the rocks.
The pair tied the knot in December, 2015, a little over a year after meeting in Sydney.
News Limited reports they broke up last month, a short time after the birth of their second child.
In September Burgess was at the centre of a scandal after a female Rabbitohs fan alleged multiple South Sydney players exposed themselves during a video call.

The call was allegedly made from Burgess’ Facebook Messenger account following the Bunnies’ Round 12 clash against the New Zealand Warriors in May.
News Limited broke the story in September, two days before the Bunnies’ semi-final clash against St George Illawarra after the alleged victim, who said she was left feeling ‘violated and disgusted’, broke her silence.
There is no suggestion Burgess was one of the players who allegedly exposed themselves.
However, according to multiple reports he took part in the call after the fan initiated contact with him via social media.
Burgess and the other players allegedly involved, who remain unnamed, were cleared of any wrongdoing by an internal club investigation.
It is unknown what ultimately led to the couple's decision to separate.
However, the dual England international conceded at the time that the recent controversy had taken a toll on Phoebe.
Burgess, 30, signed a four-year contract extension with the Rabbitohs in early September which will see him remain at Redfern until the end of the 2023 NRL campaign.
