Parramatta coach Brad Arthur has put the pressure on Mitchell Moses to step up to the next level ahead of the 2020 NRL season.
Moses was a key figure in guiding the Eels to fifth spot on the ladder, finishing third in the Dally M voting behind James Tedesco and Cam Smith.
There were positive signs in the finals series as Parramatta scored a record-setting 58-0 demolition of Brisbane, but the wheels fell off a week later against Melbourne.
Arthur's side came crashing back to Earth with a 32-0 defeat, and the coach says it's up to Moses to take his game to the next level as the team looks to break its premiership drought.

"I think he's more than capabale of going to the next level, but the other thing is, he has to. We need him to," Arthur said on Big Sports Breakfast on Wednesday morning.
"If he wants to be one of the premier players of the game, and he's got aspirations to play rep football, he needs to go to that next level."
Arthur has hired Andrew Johns to help coach the halves, and says he's seen improvements already.
"Having Andrew Johns on board can help with that, but it's just gotta be the want and the desire," Arthur said.
"We can give him all the help Mitchell needs, but at the end of the day it's gotta be his want and desire and all the signs at the moment are showing he's really hungry for it.
"He's hungry for success and he's hungry to be better than he was last year."
Arthur revealed some of the finer points of the game that the eighth Immortal has passed on to Moses and fellow half Dylan Brown.
"He can talk to the boys on their level about building a game," he said.
"He was one of the greatest players in the game with the skillset he had, and he knows Mitchell and Dylan have similar skillsets, but he's just trying to pass on to them that he didn't use it all the time, he didn't try to pull the trigger all the time.
"He's gotta build a gameplan, and it might take until 79 minutes, but it's waiting to the right time to strike.
"That's the bit he's working on with the spine and he's also doing some work with our younger kids.
"That'll be a big bonus for us, but at the end of the day there's gotta be the want and the desire."
